Nestled in the serene Upper Valley of Red River, Camp Be Jolly is a beautiful mountain cabin that invites you to slow down, breathe deep, and soak in the magic of the high country. This thoughtfully designed retreat offers the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to everything the charming mountain town has to offer. Camp Be Jolly is warm, welcoming, and full of character. The main living level showcases stunning Aspen wood walls, and one-of-a-kind antique doors that give the space a timeless, rustic personality. At the heart of it all sits a classic Jøtul wood-burning stove, the kind that turns an ordinary evening into something memorable. Whether you're gathered around the fire after a day of adventure or simply curling up with a good book, this cabin has a way of making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Guests will enjoy two bedrooms, each furnished with a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, and one with a generous walk-in closet, offering a restful retreat after days spent exploring the mountains. Need a little extra room? The living room sofa pulls out into a queen sleeper, comfortably accommodating up to five guests in total. The master bath features a sleek glass-enclosed tile shower, while the guest bath offers a relaxing tub with an elegant marble surround, because a little luxury belongs in the mountains too. The fully equipped kitchen means you'll never have to sacrifice a home-cooked meal on vacation. Stocked with all the appliances, cookware, dishes, glassware, and utensils your group could need, it's ready for everything from morning pancakes to celebratory dinners. The open living and dining area flows naturally, making it easy for everyone to gather, share a meal, and make the kind of memories that bring people back year after year. Camp Be Jolly is located in Red River's picturesque Upper Valley, approximately one mile from both the East Fork and Middle Fork Trailheads. Please note that a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required for access during winter months as well as chains (October through May), and the terrain may be rough at other times of year. This is, after all, a true mountain experience, and that's exactly what makes it special. This great property is pet friendly (dogs only) and offers high speed internet. If you decide to bring your pet, there is a non-refundable pet fee of $125, due at check-in. Sorry, there is no trailer parking for side-by-sides. No washer/dryer. There are outdoor security cameras in place. All reservations are subject to our rental terms and conditions and cancellation/refund policy. In the event of a cancellation, merchant service charges are non-refundable. If you have any questions, please reach out prior to your stay.

Guest Access

Upon arrival in Red River, please check in at the Reservations Unlimited office, located at 312 West Main Street, Red River, NM 87558, to obtain your keys or keyless entry code. If you anticipate arriving after regular business hours, please contact Reservations Unlimited at 575-754-6415 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM MST to arrange for an envelope labeled with your last name to be placed on the front office door. *Please note that for this property, 4WD is required to access the driveway during the winter months.*

Interaction with guests

Guests will receive a confirmation email containing all the information you will need for your stay. If you were to ever have any problems, please reach out to the office during normal office hours or use the emergency number that can be found on your check-in paperwork. Our goal is to make your stay as stress-free as possible from the moment you start planning, until long after you check out.

About The Neighborhood

Red River is nestled in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, located in the southernmost part of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain town is completely surrounded by the Carson National Park. Despite being a small town, Red River has an extensive dining selection that is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eater. Enjoy everything from bistros and cafes to Italian, Mexican, and even the finest steakhouses while maintaining relaxed mountain vibes. Hiking is a fun and easy way to explore the natural beauty that Red River has to offer. There are several leisurely trails around town for those looking to have a relaxing stroll through the Carson National Park, as well as the more challenging terrains for those adventure seekers.

Getting Around

Red River is an ideal town for walkers. At a little over one mile long, visitors can easily stroll along the sidewalks and take in all the town has to offer. After shopping, skiing or just enjoying all this mountain offers, visitors have the option to not walk at all. The Red River Miner's Transit provides free year-round, seven-days-a-week, wheel chair-accessible service anywhere in town. Skiers especially love the hotel to slope-side service.

Directions

For guests flying into New Mexico, we recommend flying into Albuquerque International Sunport, Santa Fe Municipal Airport or Taos Airport. Once you’ve landed, it’s time to make the short drive to Red River. Rental cars are available at all airport locations.

This is a non-smoking property. Please wash or start dishwasher and take out trash before leaving property. Please don't adjust refrigerator temperature. Please close and secure all doors and windows before leaving the property.

Please check in at the Reservations Unlimited office, located at 312 W Main Red River, NM 87558. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM daily but is not guaranteed during peak periods. If you arrive after hours, you will find an envelope taped to the front door that contains your check-in instructions and other information relevant to your stay. If our office is closed when you arrive, please sign the first sheet in the packet and leave it in the drop box.

Additional Notes

This property has no air conditioning, however summer temperatures in Red River are mild, rarely rising above the mid-70s. No trailer parking available. Standard coffee maker
