Raging Red River Scavenger Hunt

Your creative, nontraditional scavenger hunt begins at a scenic spot that's a local favorite - Old Tymers Cafe. You'll get your digital quest from your live and interactive remote host. Then you’ll take off on your own to experience a wide variety of carefully curated locations in town. You'll walk or drive to the various checkpoints as you interpret creative tasks, accept wacky challenges, and get outside your comfort zone! ONE TICKET PER PERSON. Both family and dog friendly, the game alternates between the indoors and outdoors, with plenty of bonus challenges too! You'll text photos and videos to your remote host, who cheers you on and assists, as you play - to document your progress. You can even interact with the locals to interpret the creative challenges. You won’t be able to avoid having fun, uncovering hidden gems and local secrets, making memories, laughing, and learning along the way!

Iron Horse Memorial Ride

Los Vaqueros Acero Motorcycle Club will host its second annual Iron Horse Memorial Ride on Aug. 1 to honor the life and legacy of Josiah “Si” Mandonado, a former Questa firefighter whose passion for motorcycles and dedication to his community continue to inspire others. The club was founded in Mandonado’s memory and carries forward his love for riding while promoting suicide awareness and community service throughout Taos County. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser will support a scholarship for graduates of the high school Mandonado attended who plan to become first responders. -RIDE INFO- August 1, 2026 9 a.m. at 2680 N.M. Highway 522 in Questa. Kickstands go up at 10 a.m. Riders will travel through Taos, Angel Fire and Red River before returning to 2306A N.M. Highway 522 in Questa for an afternoon celebration. The after-ride event will feature food and drink vendors, local merchants, raffles, music, and other activities open to riders, families, and community members. A $20 registration fee includes participation in the memorial ride and access to the after-ride event. It can be paid on the day of the event.
