Inside, the cabin features a warm and rustic living area with a wood-burning fireplace, the perfect spot to relax after a day of hiking, fishing, or skiing. High-speed Wi-Fi and Smart TVs ensure you stay connected and entertained, while the full kitchen and in-unit washer and dryer provide all the comforts of home. One bedroom includes both a full bed and a twin bed, while the second bedroom offers a cozy full bed. The bathroom includes a convenient shower and tub combo. Step outside and take in the fresh mountain air on the large property, complete with a swing and firepit on the north side of the cabin, ideal for evenings under the stars. An outdoor propane grill is available for those who enjoy cooking in the open air. The spacious circular driveway makes parking a breeze, even for trailers or multiple vehicles. One of the most unique features of this cabin is the musical backdrop on certain evenings, you can hear the music from Michael Martin Murphey’s concerts from the porch or while swinging outside. Bring your own lawn chairs if you’d like to sit and enjoy listening to the show. Whether you're here for the outdoor adventures or just to relax and recharge, this Bittercreek cabin offers an unforgettable Red River experience in a beautiful mountain setting. To pick up your keys and/or keyless entry code, check in at the Reservations Unlimited office located at 312 West Main Street Red River, NM, 87558. If you anticipate being late, you must notify Reservations Unlimited for late check-in instructions. *Please note that for this property, 4 Wheel Drive is required to access the driveway during the winter months. *

Interaction with guests

Guests will receive a confirmation email containing all the information you will need for your stay. If you were to ever have any problems, please reach out to the office during normal office hours or use the emergency number that can be found on your check-in paperwork. Our goal is to make your stay as stress-free as possible from the moment you start planning until long after you check out.

About The Neighborhood

Red River is nestled in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, located in the southernmost part of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain town is completely surrounded by the Carson National Park. Despite being a small town, Red River has an extensive dining selection that is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eater. Enjoy everything from bistros and cafes, to Italian, Mexican, and even the finest steakhouses while maintaining relaxed mountain vibes. Hiking is a fun and easy way to explore the natural beauty that Red River has to offer. There are several leisurely trails around town for those looking to have a relaxing stroll through the Carson National Park, as well as the more challenging terrains for those adventure seekers.

Getting Around

Red River is an ideal town for walkers. At a little over one mile long, visitors can easily stroll along the sidewalks and take in all the town has to offer. After shopping, skiing or just enjoying all this mountain offers, visitors have the option to not walk at all. The Red River Miner's Transit provides free year-round, seven-days-a-week, wheel chair-accessible service anywhere in town. Skiers especially love the hotel to slope-side service.

Directions

For guests flying into New Mexico, we recommend flying into Albuquerque International Sunport, Santa Fe Municipal Airport or Taos Airport. Once you’ve landed, it’s time to make the short drive to Red River. Rental cars are available at all airport locations.

This is a non-smoking property. Please wash or start dishwasher and take out trash before leaving property. Please don't adjust the refrigerator temperature. Please close and secure all doors and windows before leaving the property.

Please check in at the Reservations Unlimited office, located at 312 W Main Red River, NM 87558. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM daily but is not guaranteed during peak periods. If you arrive after hours, you will find an envelope taped to the front door that contains your check-in instructions and other information relevant to your stay. If our office is closed when you arrive, please sign the first sheet in the packet and leave it in the drop box.
