Our Rocky Top Vista Log Cabin is located near the slopes- Sleeps a total of 9 guests in its 3 bedrooms 2 bath configuration. Guests will have access to satellite TV. 4x4 is recommended during the winter season and there is limited trailer parking available. Enjoy this log cabin that is conveniently located near the ski area. During the winter months, enjoy VIP seating for the torchlight parade. Guests will enjoy a comfortable stay with a master bedroom which boasts a king bed and private bathroom. Bedroom 2 also has an amazing king size bed and a half bath that will be greatly appreciated for a long day of Red River adventures. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds, a twin trundle and a futon that can be used for lounging and sleeping. The popular cabin was built in 1949 and it is said that the original cowboy, John Wayne, has stayed here!!!! This cozy cabin features wifi, fully equipped kitchen, and a wood-burning fireplace to warm you up after a frigid day on the mountain. The living room has a flat-screen TV for your tv viewing when you’re not exploring the mountain town of Red River. Be sure to enjoy a cup of joe on the front porch and gaze at the slopes any time of year, or take a moment to relax by the fire pit out back and discuss the adventures you’ve had and the ones you plan on making. The home has many conveniences for our guests, like washer and dryer and a tankless water heater to ensure there are enough hot showers for everyone. The cabin is also pet-friendly and has permitted trailer parking. So bring the kids, dogs, and ATVs for an amazing adventure in Red River.

Guest Access

Guests will receive a confirmation email stating the information you will need for your stay. Guests will receive the keys and/or keyless entry codes at the time of check-in at Reservations Unlimited 312 West Main Street Red River, NM, 87558. Please contact Reservations Unlimited at 575-754-6415 for information regarding a possible late check-in. 4WD is often required to access the driveway during the winter months.

About The Neighborhood

Red River is nestled in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, located in the southernmost part of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain town is completely surrounded by the Carson National Park. Despite being a small town, Red River has an extensive dining selection that is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eater. You can leave the fancy attire at home and enjoy anything from bistros and cafes, all the way to Italian, Mexican or even the finest steakhouses while still maintaining those relaxed mountain vibes. Hiking is a fun and easy way to explore the natural beauty that Red River has to offer. There are several leisurely trails around town for those looking to have a relaxing stroll through the Carson National Park, as well as the more challenging terrains for those adventure seekers.

Getting Around

Red River is an ideal town for walkers. At a little over one mile long, visitors can easily stroll along the sidewalks taking in all the town has to offer. After shopping, skiing or just enjoying all this mountain offers, visitors have the option to not walk at all. The Red River Miner's Transit provides free year-round, seven-days-a-week, wheel chair-accessible service anywhere in town. Skiers especially love the hotel to slope-side service. Transportation pick-up is available.

Directions

For guests flying into New Mexico, we recommend flying into either Albuquerque International Sunport or Santa Fe Municipal Airport. Both airports offer daily flights into the area. Once you’ve landed, it’s time to venture on over to town. Rental cars are available at both airport locations, though some guests find they prefer local transportation. Twin Hearts Express and Transportation offers transportation to Red River and the surrounding communities from both airport locations. Reservations are mandatory, so make sure to schedule your ride prior to arrival.

Rules

Non-smoking property. Pets are welcome ($100 non-refundable pet fee applies) Do dishes or start dishwasher and take out trash before leaving property.

Check-in time is 3 PM and check-out time is 10 AM. Please contact the Reservations Unlimited office at 575-754-6415 if you anticipate being early or late. To check-in, you’ll go to the Reservations Unlimited office at 312 West Main Street, Red River, NM 87558. The office is mid-town, on Main Street, and directly across the street from the Der Markt grocery store and Go Kart City. Most Reservations Unlimited vacation rentals have full kitchens, a fireplace, and a television with cable or satellite programming. Many have a washer/dryer. Laundry detergent is not provided. Please check the property description carefully for specifics, and ask if in doubt. Kitchens should be stocked with basic cookware, utensils, dishes, etc. Wood is provided for the fireplace (unless it is gas-burning). Propane is provided if the location has a gas grill. Clean towels and linens are provided and in place upon arrival, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap and dish soap. No maid service is offered during your stay; however, towels may be exchanged every other day. No pets are allowed unless given specific permission in writing. A $100, non-refundable pet fee can be charged pre-check in, during, or after the stay. Additional charges may apply if owners do not clean up after their pet. Damages from pets are not covered under the property damage fee. All units are non-smoking. Given rural conditions, occasional outages of internet access and/or cable services are possible. No refunds or rebates will be given for service disruptions. If planning to bring multiple vehicles or if pulling a trailer, please first verify with the office that there will be ample room at your reserved location.
