Enjoy this log cabin that is conveniently located near the ski area with a bird’s eye view of the town’s ponds. During the winter months, enjoy VIP seating for the torchlight parade as you can see the Face from the front porch. Adventurists won’t have to go far to hike Pioneer Trail or better yet, take your ROVs and enjoy the trail without getting tired. For those that enjoy a nice walk, before you grab a bite to eat, this property is within walking distance of Shotgun Willies!
Guests will enjoy a comfortable stay with a master bedroom which boasts a king bed and private bathroom. Bedroom 2 also has an amazing king size bed and a half bath that will be greatly appreciated for a long day of Red River adventures. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds, a twin trundle and a futon that can be used for lounging and sleeping. The popular cabin was built in 1949 and it is said that the original cowboy, John Wayne, has stayed here!

Please check in at the Reservations Unlimited office, located at 312 W Main Red River, NM 87558. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM daily but is not guaranteed during peak periods. If you arrive after hours, you will find an envelope taped to the front door that contains your check-in instructions and other information relevant to your stay. If our office is closed when you arrive, please sign the first sheet in the packet and leave it in the drop box.

Red River is nestled in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, located in the southernmost part of the Rocky Mountains. The mountain town is completely surrounded by the Carson National Park. Despite being a small town, Red River has an extensive dining selection that is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eater. You can leave the fancy attire at home and enjoy anything from bistros and cafes, all the way to Italian, Mexican or even the finest steakhouses while still maintaining those relaxed mountain vibes. Hiking is a fun and easy way to explore the natural beauty that Red River has to offer. There are several leisurely trails around town for those looking to have a relaxing stroll through the Carson National Park, as well as the more challenging terrains for those adventure seekers.
Red River is an ideal town for walkers. At a little over one mile long, visitors can easily stroll along the sidewalks taking in all the town has to offer. After shopping, skiing or just enjoying all this mountain offers, visitors have the option to not walk at all. The Red River Miner's Transit provides free year-round, seven-days-a-week, wheel chair-accessible service anywhere in town. Skiers especially love the hotel to slope-side service. Transportation pick-up is available.
To pick up your keys and/or keyless entry code, check in at the Reservations Unlimited office located at 312 West Main Street Red River, NM, 87558. If you anticipate being late, you must notify Reservations Unlimited and they will provide instructions to access your reserved property after hours. *4x4 is required to access the driveway during the winter months.*
Guests will receive a confirmation email containing all the information you will need for your stay. If you were to ever have any problems, please reach out to the office during normal office hours or use the emergency number that can be found on your check-in paperwork. Our goal is to make your stay as stress-free as possible from the moment you start planning, until long after you check out.
For guests flying into New Mexico, we recommend flying into Albuquerque International Sunport, Santa Fe Municipal Airport or Taos Airport. Once you’ve landed, it’s time to make the short drive to Red River. Rental cars are available at all airport locations.
